MFCCH next meeting in Reggio Emilia

The 6th meeting of the HPH Task Force on Migrant Friendly and Cultural Competent Hospitals will take place on March 13-15 in Reggio Emilia, Italy. The aim is to discuss the state of art in research and practical innovations concerned with improving intercultural communication i health care, medical interpreting and cultural mediation.

The meeting will be hosted by the University of Modena e Reggio Emilia and the Local Health Authority of Reggio Emilia at the address Universit√° di Modena e Reggio Emilia, Room: Sala del senato accademico, Via Allegri, 9.

Timetable

Participants should arrive in Reggio Emilia on the evening of Wednesday 12th March. Those who wish to eat together can meet around 7.30pm in the foyer of the Astoria Mercure Hotel, Via Leopoldo Nobili, 2 Reggio Emilia (<http://www.mercurehotelastoria.com/eng/>). This is about 2 kilometres from the railway station. The hotel is located in the city centre near the city public park.

On Thursday 13th March there will be an all-day thematic meeting with presentations from both Task Force and COST people. In the evening we will meet for dinner at 7.30pm at the restaurant IL POZZO, Via Allegri n. 7, Reggio Emilia (just across the public park "Giardini pubblici" from the hotel).

On Friday 14th March the thematic meeting will continue until 1pm. COST people should be able to return home the same day if they want to, or if preferred, can stay for another night at the hotel. In the afternoon, the Task Force people will have the busines meeting in the same venue. In the evening we will meet for dinner at 7.30pm in the foyer of the Astoria Mercure Hotel.

On Saturday 15th March the second part of the TF meeting will take place at the Hotel Astoria Mercure until 1pm. TF people should be able to return home the same day.
