HPH General Assembly 2009 in Crete

On the 6th of May 2009 the General Assembly of the International HPH Network got together for their annual meeting. The General Assembly is composed of the entire body of National/Regional Coordinators of the International HPH Network. In this way, each nation/region gets a say.
On the agenda were such items as the Memorandum of Understanding with WHO, the future definition of a "health Service" eligible for HPH Membership, a brand new Task Force on Alcohol and much more.

The General Assembly also worked intensively with the HPH Strategy. Among other things, Vice Chairman Louis Coté (CA) held a workshop on this issue - allowing the N/R Coordinators and Task Force Leaders to get together in smaller groups and get involved with trying to use and discuss the Strategy both on paper and in practice.

The workshop inspired quite a few interesting discussions on the topic of the HPH Strategy and its implementation.
To find out more about what was decided and discussed during the meeting, the General Assembly Meeting Report will of course be published here on www.healthpromotinghospitals.org as soon as possible.
