Finnish Network of HPH
The purpose of The association of Health Promoting Hospitals in Finland is to bring more strongly a health promoting view into the culture of Finnish hospitals. Health promotion in hospital care includes curative, symptom relieving, rehabilitative and preventive work as well as improving the quality of life.
Health promoting hospital incorporates into its culture and daily work the idea of health promotion of its patients and their families, personnel, hospital environment and the population.
The Finnish exchange program for employees
The Association of Health Promoting Hospitals in Finland is starting an
exchange program for employees (nurses, doctors, physiotherapists,
social workers etc.) of member hospitals of the International HPH
Network in spring 2006. The first exchange will be possible between
Czech Republic, Estonia, Norway, Poland, Slovakia and Ireland.
Important details:
- the exchange
period will be 1-2 weeks
- stay in Finland
will not cause any costs (food and housing)
- the person
coming to exchange should be prepared to give speech (about 1
hour)
concerning
health promoting work in his/her own unit and the HPH network in
his/her
own
country
- evaluation of
the exchange programme be done afterwards
